I wanted to take a picture of them during Christmas, they had cute little Santa hats on, but I didn't get a chance.

Anyway, I didn't do anything again this year. Then again, even when I had a boyfriend nothing ever happened on Valentine's Day... : (

Powered by Photoblog.com

Since childhood, I lived with my family right beside a riverbank. We swam in the river, we played and we even relied on the river for transportation. In short, our life had its highs and lows with that of the river. Sometimes, our house flooded during the full moon and we feared being washed away or left floating in the river. Thus we grew up with the river and flooding was very much a part of us. In 1988, I witnessed the biggest flood of the country, one of the largest in Bangladesh history, though I was not a photographer at the time. Since then, I have witnessed the three major floods of the last decade as a photographer and I have seen the stories of the displaced people who eventually lost their homes. Many today live in other lands, and many have been forced to migrate to the cities seeking better prospects. Consequently, the capital fills up with more people every day.

Went back today and grabbed this shot with my 50mm prime. Have I said I really like this lens? From the full sized file at 200% the detail is just staggering - everywhere you look is some tidbit. I did a very subtle sharpen on it, sepia filter (don't ask, I don't know why either!) and resized, otherwise it's just as I took it.

Powered by Photoblog.com

Went to mass today and had some time to take photos of the sunset around the church.
I had a very short talk with my mom and it ended with a long list of emotions.
Before I sleep, I finished the second season of the TV series I'm watching; again, sad finale. The couple I was rooting for broke up. Yeah, I'm so into the shows I watch.
After that, I watched a Disney movie, and it's an inspiring one.
However, the night didn't end well enough.

Powered by Photoblog.com
